Personal account

Profile, password, email, language, two-factor authentication, linked accounts, deletion.

Your ZenHost personal account is the account that lets you sign in, independent of the team workspace you administer. All options are managed from the Settings menu in the sidebar, accessible via your avatar in the top right.

Profile

Edit your name and profile picture. The name appears in internal conversations, on the messages you send, and in the member list. The picture appears next to your name everywhere you act.

Password

To change your password, enter your current password then the new password (and the confirmation). ZenHost checks the password's strength and verifies it isn't found in known breach datasets. A notification confirms the update.

Email

To change the email tied to the account, enter the new address. ZenHost sends a confirmation link to the new address — the change takes effect once you click it. The old address stays active until then.

Language

A language selector for the ZenHost interface. Affects labels, notification emails, and product communications you receive. The choice is saved on your account and follows you across devices.

Two-factor authentication (MFA)

To strengthen account security, enable two-factor authentication:

  1. Click Set up.
  2. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, etc.).
  3. Enter the 6-digit code shown by the app to validate.
  4. Name the factor ("Personal phone", "Authy") for retrieval if you have several.

You can add several factors and remove any of them at any time. To turn MFA off entirely, remove every factor.

Linked accounts

If you signed in to ZenHost via an OAuth provider (e.g. Google), you can manage that link here:

  • Unlink an OAuth account.
  • Link a password if your account was created via OAuth only — useful so you can also sign in with email + password.

Danger zone: delete account

At the bottom of the Settings page, the Danger zone offers permanent personal-account deletion. To confirm, ZenHost asks you to type the word DELETE in a field.

Caution. Deletion cascades: every team workspace where you are the primary owner is also deleted, and all active subscriptions are cancelled. Other members of those workspaces lose their access.

If you just want to leave a team workspace without deleting your personal account, use Leave team from that workspace's settings.
