The setup widget

The setup wizard on your dashboard: 10 steps, your progress saved, resume anytime.

A "Setup in progress" card on your dashboard tracks your progress across the ten onboarding steps. This page explains when the widget shows up, what each step does, and how to dismiss or reopen it.

When the widget shows

The card appears on the dashboard only for the primary owner of the team workspace — other members don't see it. It stays visible as long as at least one step is still To configure and you haven't dismissed it. When all ten steps are Completed or Skipped, it disappears automatically.

The Continue button takes you to the Setup Wizard, which lays out every step in detail.

The six step families

On the Setup Wizard, the ten steps are organized into six families, in this order:

FamilySteps
Properties & PlatformsImport Airbnb · Connect Booking.com
ReservationsImport reservations
AutomationAuto messages · Smart locks
TeamTeam members
RevenueStripe payments · PriceLabs Pricing · Booking Website

Every step card carries a status badge — To configure, Completed, or Skipped — and an estimated duration.

The ten steps in detail

1. Import Airbnb (≈ 3 min)

Connect your Airbnb account and import your listings in one click. See the Airbnb migration page for the full walkthrough. The step flips to Completed automatically as soon as an Airbnb account is connected successfully.

2. Connect Booking.com (≈ 2 min)

Sync your Booking.com reservations for each property, directly from ZenHost. You need at least one imported listing to launch this step — otherwise the message "Import your listings from Airbnb first" appears. The step is marked complete once one of your listings is linked to Booking.com.

3. Import reservations (≈ 3 min)

Import your existing reservations from a CSV file. This is the complement to the Airbnb import: the Airbnb connection brings over the listings and the calendar, but historical reservations come in via CSV (the Airbnb APIs don't expose them). The step flips to Completed as soon as one reservation exists in your workspace.

4. Auto messages (≈ 1 min)

Add pre-built message templates and turn on automated sending to your guests (booking confirmation, arrival info, review request, etc.). The Add all button installs the default library in one click. The step flips to Completed as soon as one template or automation rule exists.

5. Smart locks (≈ 2 min)

Connect your Nuki account and assign your smart locks to your properties. If you don't use connected locks, manual access codes are configured on each listing's settings page. The step flips to Completed once at least one lock is registered.

6. Team members (≈ 2 min)

Invite members to collaborate on your listings. You enter their email, role, and property access (all or a selection). The step flips to Completed as soon as a teammate is invited or added.

7. Stripe payments (≈ 2 min)

Accept payments and manage deposits via Stripe. You connect your Stripe account, then link your properties to it. You can use different Stripe accounts for booking payments and for extras. The step flips to Completed once at least one Stripe account is connected.

8. PriceLabs Pricing (≈ 1 min)

Optimize your prices automatically with PriceLabs: dynamic pricing, competitor analysis, occupancy rate optimization. You enter your PriceLabs email and link your properties to the account. The step flips to Completed as soon as one PriceLabs account is connected.

9. Booking Website (≈ 1 min)

Create your direct booking website in one click — to reduce platform commissions, keep direct contact with your guests, and offer a branded booking experience. The step flips to Completed once at least one website is created.

10. Mobile app (≈ 1 min)

Install ZenHost on your phone (iOS via App Store, Android via Google Play). A QR code is shown for direct scan. Note: this step is marked Completed only on your first successful sign-in on the mobile app.

Dismiss and reopen the widget

You can dismiss the card so it stops showing on your dashboard. Dismissing does not erase your progress — completed steps stay completed. It is also per browser: on another device or after clearing your browser cache, the card reappears.

You can reopen the Setup Wizard at any time from your account menu → Setup Wizard, even if you dismissed the dashboard card.

"Skip all" in one shot

On the Setup Wizard, the Skip all and go to my calendar button marks every remaining step as Skipped and takes you straight to your workspace. You can always come back and configure these integrations later from the Setup Wizard menu entry.
